Reflection Cube
The Reflection Cube, a custom-made mirror art installation is designed to encourage personal reflection and anonymous participation. This immersive experience invites individuals to explore their relationship with clothing in a safe, judgment-free space.
How It Works: The Reflection Cube is a physical, offline project that takes residency in various spaces, inviting community participation in real-world locations. At each venue, the cube acts as a mirror to not only reflect the physical space and the participant, but also the personal connections people have with their clothing. Participants are encouraged to handwrite instinctual responses to a thought-provoking question about clothing. These anonymous contributions are collected and shared as part of a wider conversation around style, identity, and the often complex feelings that our clothes evoke. By offering a safe and judgment-free environment, the project allows individuals to reflect without pressure, embracing their personal relationship with fashion.
The Reflection Cube stands as an act of soft activism, reminding us that there is no right or wrong way to dress. It’s about embracing the personal and empowering journey of discovering our own connection to clothing. Participate:
Take a question card and pen.
Give yourself time to reflect before writing an instinctive response.
Flip over and repeat for the other side.
Place in the Reflection Cube without bending the card.

Take a moment to reflect on your relationship with clothing and respond to the questions on the card. Be sure to complete both sides.
Place your completed card in the designated slot in the cube.
If you’re comfortable, take a picture of your card and share it on social media. Sharing your responses or simply the questions encourages others to reflect on how clothes make them feel, sparking a wider conversation and promoting soft activism.

Once you've shared your reflection, your response is collected and added to our growing conversation. Some responses will be featured digitally on our platforms, helping to engage others and encourage them to reflect on their own relationship with clothes. The remaining will be catelogued and contribute to future art and conversation projects.
In 2025, we're excited to invite communities to host their own offline Reflection Gatherings!
